In a flash I lost years of savings while transferring crypto from my cold wallet to what I thought was a legitimate exchange.

It was such an abstract loss. The kind that paralyzes you, but all your loved ones are still alive, your house didn't burn down, you're not in critical condition at the hospital. But the power shift that happened for me personally in that moment crushed plans and dreams.

All the hours and days and months and years - even loans - invested in crypto technologies and a new direction for humanity. I was so excited about this new frontier, about what was coming with NFTs and Web3, that I put everything I could toward it: money, time, and project volunteering.

It's insane to think how I walked into the trap. But I did. And it happened. And I'll eventually build back. As part of my effort to stomach what happened, to keep moving forward, I needed to do something constructive in the face of this loss.

So I built this, and decided I would become a Chain Keeper. Someone to help inspire safe engagements with the blockchain and be a part of reimagining how humanity coordinates, has ownership, and exchanges value.

This exists because the blockchain is coming for all of us, whether we're ready or not.

This community is for the working class person who wonders what a digital wallet is beyond those provided by Google and Apple. For those who have heard about or set up an account at a crypto exchange like Coinbase. For those who have heard about Bitcoin, Ethereum, or any number of alt or meme coins and started quietly investing. For the artist who has heard about NFTs but doesn't know how they could actually help them. For the retiree whose grandchild keeps talking about blockchain, DeFi, or yield farming. For anyone who senses that something big is happening in the financial world but hasn't found a plain language guide.

Banks are already on-chain. Governments are digitizing identity and currency. Real world assets are being tokenized. The financial system is being rewritten in code. We are moving from legacy-to-blockchain as you read this, and most everyday people have no idea it's happening, let alone how to protect themselves within it.
